2017 Football Schedule

A rugged non-conference schedule which includes trips to SEC opponents Texas A&M and Ole Miss, a pair of nationally-televised Sun Belt Conference games in October and six games against schools that appeared in a post-season bowl highlight the 2017 Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns football schedule that was released by the conference office on Wednesday.

Well. Maybe, maybe not.

As much as people are complaining about this schedule, I believe this team will be, at worst, 3-3 after the Texas State game. SLU, ULM, and Texas State are very poor programs right now. Idaho and Tulsa will be toss ups.

After that begins the 3 game road swing at ASU, USA and Ole Miss. If Hudspeth wants to have any chance of keeping his job he will have to win at least 2 of those 3.

Tough job? Yes, but this is in no way un-doable and a coach killer. It is just year 7, and it's time to do your business or get off of the pot.

Michigan and Navy didn't have any night home games last season, and ohio state only had one. Purdue didn't have any night games at all, home or away..
and NC State played at an AAC team last yr and at a CUSA and Sunbelt team the yr before. and didn't host any P-5s outside of conference arrangements

Michigan probably doesn't want night games. NC is Lafayette, La.

We're not playing historically relevant programs. We need every single advantage we can muster. Broiling in early September isn't getting that done. Having nearly a month between home games isn't getting it done.

That's the Big 10, they've always hated night games. They still to date, as you pointed out, don't play many.
