There were a numbers hit well last night that won't show up in the box score. There was a 20 miles an hour cross wind last night and I counted at four hits that were leaving the park and that's not including Lott's double that the wind pulled down before going over the wall.

The giant in CF was snapping last night, blowing in and to LF.

Didn't D-Mo struggle some towards the end of last year? Dude was still amazing just not his super human self.

I think it was more the beginning... That Texas Tech game in Houston comes to mind... but errors played a role in that.

DMo will find his groove. Not worried about our Ace closer.

It's unfortunate that a hell of a performance by Hogan Harris got overshadowed. 5 innings of no hit ball and the biggest part was he had his command allowing only 2 BB with 8 K. When he's able to locate like that and doesn't give free passes, you see a guy who can definitely be a Sunday arm this year if needed and the Saturday guy next year. We saw flashes of that last year (Texas Tech and La Tech games especially)

Bats are alive because you are facing high school pitching basically...it's a shame Robe is scared to play a good schedule...really...St. Peters

Yep, I'd like to see Hogan moved to Sunday sooner rather than later. I'm thinking this weekend. Guillory is solid in his midweek role, let's get some seasoning on Harris on Sundays.

Absolutely. I don't know how capable NwSt is offensively, but HH's numbers were excellent.

On DMo, I'm sure he'll be fine, but I did notice something Friday that gave me pause. Anyone else seeing that he has less "hurky-jerky" action in his arm whip? I saw it and immediately went back and looked at his sophomore year. There is a noticeable difference in the delivery. Just wondering if anyone else saw that as well.

I thought it was just me. The hitch in his delivery is more pronounced when he throws the slider it seems. I'm sure the hitch and excessive movement is a drawback on his draft stock. Hitches, hercky jerks, etc scare people on account of durability. If he can limit that excessive wear and tear his health is much less of a concern for potential MLB suitors.
