Ray Rice was the Tri State Player of the Year in 2006 when Coach Sean Payton was awarded the Coach of the Year the first time. Rice played for Rutgers University. Did you know the crew of space shuttle Atlantis delivered a coin that traveled into space for use in the official coin toss of Superbowl XLIV? Students from the University of Louisiana, Kinesiology Student Organization, will be traveling to Atlantic City on March 5, to meet Saints Superbowl Champions Drew Brees, & Coach Sean Payton, at the 73rd Annual Maxwell Football Club Awards Banquet.

Drew Brees will be presented with the Bert Bell Professional Player of the Year Award and Coach Sean Payton will be presented with the Greasy Neale, Professional Coach of the Year Award.

Twice the charm...
Drew Brees won the Maxwell Award (Best Collegiate Player of The Year) in 2000 and Coach Sean Payton won the Greasy Neale Professional Coach of the Year Award in 2006.
