Thread: Cajuns Travel to Face #18 Sam Houston State

  1. UL Baseball Cajuns Travel to Face #18 Sam Houston State

It doesn't get any easier for the Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns.

The Cajuns (1-2) have struggled mightily at the plate in their first three games and now travel to Huntsville, TX to take on #18 Sam Houston State in a three game series beginning Friday at Don Sanders Stadium.

The season didn't start as hot as we expect, but I'm just as pumped up for tonight as I was for opening day. Cheers and Geaux Cajuns!

Good weather for a change coupled with a few days off for a mental break might be what the doc ordered.

Time to turn things around and get the hitting on track. I'm feeling good about this weekend.

    GEAUX CAJUNS!

I'm thinking just being around Deggs will help our bats! We will need to bottle him up after this weekend for the rest of the season.

So Heath Donica who is getting the start tonight pitched against us on the Saturday game last year and gave up 4 runs in short relief work. We pounded him pretty good.

However, he went on that season to get the MVP of the Southland Conference tourny (obviously very improved), and he shut out Nevada last week giving up only 1 hit and striking out 14 with only 2 walks and one hit by pitch. Looks like they have a dominant Friday arm comparable to Odom from last year.

Let's hope our hitters are up for a challenge!

Anyone surprised Deggs has his team ranked 18th in this short a period of time?

Not surprised at all, Turbine. Are the Cajuns still in Top 25?

Not at all. If Tony would ever decide to retire Deggs is the guy I want.
