Yeah I've known the kid for a long time but haven't seen him in years until the Diamond Club. With that said he was always an "athlete". I think he will eventually be a great arm for us and glad to see him get that memorable start. Hope it continues.

It doesn't fix the problem, it only takes the onus off Robe. Talbot deserves blame, but unless you can come in and own the situation, it's not something you can excel at. This doesnt seem like a conducive environment for a hitting coach.

But I happen to think if that were true Deggs wouldn't have been successful either. But we are known as a program that puts pitching and defense ahead of hitting. Robe doesn't shy away from that.

Deggs is a head coach right now.that's not happenstance. As Robe gets older.it seems he cares less and less about offense. Pitching is only one part of the game. If the offense fails, sure Talbot deserves some blame, so does Babineaux, and so does Robe.

I agree with your last sentence. I don't think Robe doesn't care but delegates it to coaches who are supposed to have more expertise in that area of the game.
