Peabody wins state 3A championship by a score of 73 to 54 over Carroll. I do not know how Cedric Russell (our signee) performed in the game
I'm very excited about this young man.
Yes, congrats to Bob and Staff.
Thanks for the report on Russell. I know he scored 27 in the semi finals due to going 18 for 18 from the line. Someone posted a link to a view of those earlier in the thread. Nice form on free throws. Of course you have to have that to make 18 straight. Peabody destroyed everyone they played when the New Year hit.
Congratulations, @bucket_getta1! The @RaginCajunsMBB signee & #Peabody senior was named to the 2017 #MarshMadness All-Tournament Team. pic.twitter.com/tUVD3RBdhu

Ced was named All-Cenla MVP and co-District MVP along with Kevin Norman. Here is the story from the Town Talk.

I see Kevin Norman, who was the other stud at Peabody, is planning to go to a JC. Perhaps he can get a D1 offer if he does well there. Who knows, perhaps he can rejoin Russell as a Cajun a couple of years down the line.
I think he will. He reminds me a lot of Dwayne Benjiman from Northside. Great player on the high school level but a tweener at the college level and no one really knows what to do with him. I think a the JC level he'll have immediate impact and I could see him coming back to a mid major as a Junior. He's a physical but undersized 4 that projects as a 3 in college. He can shoot it from all over the floor and he can get up. I think at the college level they'll slim him down maybe 10-15 lbs and push him down to 3 but either way, the kid is just a baller. If you see any film of him, its easy to see.
