Was it a jump shot from half court where he squared up and got his feet under him or did he "heave" it up with both hands from his chest while running?

Also, Coach Marlin said in post game that Hardy purposely fouled the guy on Evans free throw as that guy struggled at the line. Turned out to be a smart call by the staff. Surprised Richard had a guy who is a poor free throw shooter in the game at that point. I guess he wanted a rebounder in there just in case Evans missed his free throw. Last time I remember hitting a half court shot near end of game to win was when Randell Daigle did so against South Alabama. Ronnie Arrow went nuts then but it was a good call. However, I don't recall ever hitting a half court shot to win on the road. Although they were not half court shots but conventional three pointers, we did hit two buzzer beaters to win on the road in Elfrid's senior year. Xavian Rimmer hit one to beat Texas State and Elfrid hit one to beat Arkansas State. Shows that if you keep fighting, lady luck might smile on you. Now here is something I don't recall ever happening home or away and I have been following Cajun basketball for over 40 years. We came from down five to win with less TEN seconds to go. Does anyone recall something like that ever happening?
Yes, but not in our favor.

I think the momentum was initiated on Monday night against South Alabama. What this might do is give them confidence in a close game. They were in battles in Georgia two weekends ago but could not pull it out. I think having Evans available was a factor today in that result. Young man has the look of a winner.

Only in football when Ladarius Green recovered the onside kick and we came from behind to defeat.....you guessed it...ULM!! (The game was at Cajun Field, not on the road.)

The Cajuns have won 2 conf games in a row.
They have moved from 9th to 8th place.
If we could reach the sixth seed for the tournament that would be huge.

So glad we pulled out the win but it should have never come to that...we're just not a good team

I try to remember the special wins. Despite being outplayed today was in that category. As i said earlier, things i do not recall ever happening was winning with a half court shot on the road or overcoming a five point lead with less than ten seconds to go. Note just because i classify today as special does not mean I don't recognize shortcomings. We give up way too many layups and open threes as a result. Hopefully the young guys improve in that regard and the folks being brought in can help there. As far as moving up in standings goes, I agree it will be tough to get to sixth with only four games left. However after we came back from Georgia both Express and I said we would have a tough time getting to three additional wins. Surprisingly we are only one away. That is not great but for a team with our defensive issues it would be unexpected.

Unfortunately the other way a few times. Tennessee and Jacksonville comes to mind.
