ULM shoots 63% and does not win!
    How is that possible?!

They choked on those FTs at the end.

Lucked out. We were outplayed by a team that is 1-12 in conference. But I'll take it. Maybe this will initiate some momentum.

Lots of freshman on the court at the end of the game. Agree with all that defense is a big problem. We simply get taken off the dribble too often and are too slow to rotate. That is the main reason we have a losing conference record and will likely not resolve it this year. Also, recall ULM missed two free throws at end that would have iced it. I give credit to our guys for not quitting but breaks went their way.

They were only 15 of 27 for 56% for the game.
We should have fouled them more!

I listened to the ULM coach interview online and he said missed FT in the last 5 minutes kept them from putting the game out of reach.

Heck son, I turned it off down 7 right at under a minute. Just watched replay of last minute. Under 30 seconds, down 4 and ULM ball. Wow.

Enjoyed the mini dog pile at the feet of a few of their court side fans and the woman in pink at the scorer's table post game. Looked like she was going to be ill.

Speaking of Evans he was a key guy. He hit some big shots and that was a HUGE and one he converted late to bring us within two. I can see why the coaches said not having him earlier in the season was contributing to a lack of depth. Also, Coach Marlin said in post game that Hardy purposely fouled the guy on Evans free throw as that guy struggled at the line. Turned out to be a smart call by the staff. Surprised Richard had a guy who is a poor free throw shooter in the game at that point. I guess he wanted a rebounder in there just in case Evans missed his free throw. Last time I remember hitting a half court shot near end of game to win was when Randell Daigle did so against South Alabama. Ronnie Arrow went nuts then but it was a good call. However, I don't recall ever hitting a half court shot to win on the road. Although they were not half court shots but conventional three pointers, we did hit two buzzer beaters to win on the road in Elfrid's senior year. Xavian Rimmer hit one to beat Texas State and Elfrid hit one to beat Arkansas State. Shows that if you keep fighting, lady luck might smile on you. Now here is something I don't recall ever happening home or away and I have been following Cajun basketball for over 40 years. We came from down five to win with less TEN seconds to go. Does anyone recall something like that ever happening?
