Like every other business, sometimes having contacts that you have dealt with in the past helps move the ball along. In this case, it may very well be that Bryan Maggard has several people he has dealt with directly at ESPN while at Missouri. This is more common at P5 programs that at the lower levels of the G5.

My thoughts exactly. First, the motive to take action, second, the knowledge of who to speak to to correct it, third, the transparency of it all.

Good points... So it isnt the message its the messenger? If i say those things im tinfoil, but if u say it its an aha moment. Now same with new AD, he says it and its magically fixed? Hope its fixed but still makes no sense, it shouldnt take money or being in the inside

I don't understand what you're saying (tinfoil and aha). As for the AD... I don't think he "fixed it". He addressed it in a way I think gives him the ability to step it up if it happens again. And no matter how we "feel" things "should be"... they are the way they are... until forces much greater than us change them.
