LAFAYETTE, La. - A man was shot in his front yard, in front of his family. The shooting happened last Saturday in the 200 block of Montreal Street.

"My 4-year-old was scared that he would get shot, of course, because she saw the gun. She kept asking me, 'Momma, he's not going to shoot my daddy, is he?' I said, 'No, baby, he's not that crazy," says Tabatha Bourda, the shooting victim's girlfriend.
