Everything in the universe is as it should be.
It seems like every time there may be a moment to worry about a Mike Lotief team, they come back with weekend like that. Congratulations. That was bigger and maybe more impressive than the Oregon series win last season.
Still, those back to back loses to a 4-3 S. Miss team at home is still a head scratcher. That was obviously a different team last weekend that clearly grew from the experience. I guess we are just snake bit by USM in everything recently. Hope that changes in a few weeks at the Tigue.
7-inning 2-hit shutout against Bama... By a freshman!

Way to bounce back ladies!
The resolve this team shows bodes well for the future.
Alabama was flat. 2K at the ballpark today definitely helped in that regard.
Denham looked very confident in the circle and didn't make many mistakes. She is the youngest of four sisters. The other three played ball at McNeese. Can't help but be impressed with her performance so far.
Little John for Bama seemed off her game all weekend which is very surprising. All in all it was an awesome weekend for softball.
Two home runs from DJ Sanders and a two-hit shutout tossed by freshman Alyssa Denham carried No. 18 Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns Softball to a 7-0 win and the series victory over No. 4 Alabama on Sunday at Lamson Park.
The 18th-ranked Louisiana softball team was victorious in a non-conference contest on Sunday afternoon, defeating the 4th-ranked Alabama Crimson Tide, 7-0, at Lamson Park.
Funny.. I read on RP a gaurnatee that Bama would mercy rule the ladies in all 3 games..
Way to fight SB
