Wow, if they do that, some G5 program is going to pay a heavy price.

The success of most college football teams starts and ends with the play of the QB. QB has been our achilles heel for three straight years, and all indications are that it will probably be so again in 2017.

Hud has yet to prove that he is capable of developing a QB into a star performer. Until we start recruiting and developing better players at the QB position, we will flounder as a middle of the pack Sun Belt program.

Having said this, I still wish we could have landed a good graduate transfer for the 2017 season. I think we'd win 7 or 8 games with a stud at QB, but I think we'll struggle to get 5 or 6 wins with the QB's we currently have on the roster.

So was he fired for the ban, or for talking about the ban? Since it seems ban was in place for a few yrs already?

I didnt realize these "camps" were in fact tryouts??? Now it makes more sense... But acording to ncaa website it sounds illegal:

Only Division I men’s basketball is allowed to hold tryouts. Those tryouts are limited to prospective student-athletes who are seniors in high school, junior college transfers or four-year transfers who have completed their basketball season. They also must be on an official or unofficial visit to the campus.

Entry standards may be slightly higher at say TooLame, but grades are no harder to get, and I would suspect the same for UNC. Are there brighter students? Of course many are, but many are not for a lot of reasons and they graduate as well. Get over it. Lastly let's see where this young man ends up.

Speaking of course strength. I took nine summer hours, and twenty-four regular semester hours on a regular basis. Many of those semesters included various maths, sciences, foreign languages and it was very tough. It would have been a lot easier if I had a tutor, and an academic adviser saying yes to this prof, and no to that one.
Wow you were right about duke! I knew their guys werent as smart as they portray but thought they at least were smarter than most other athletes....oh well..

I also noticed they now recruit from a school in chicago called simeon career academy, a votech school... Can student-athletes be eligible for college if they arent on a college prep track? No offense intended, but doesnt seem like auto shop prepares you for college, and isnt an assertion on their smarts as they could still get act score and be smart enough, but they wouldnt have the background courses under their belt (or would they?)
