Wondering if like in baseball we are ranked in the top 10-20 in softball attendance

I know we have to be ranked higher than the CAL Hippies!!!!

I agree with Beau Cajun. Considering Alabama is the premier team on our schedule and we play them at home, a sweep by Alabama could end any consideration for a top 8 seed very early this season. As always, the NCAA and P5 conferences will be looking at any excuse to relegate UL and reward a P5 conference member. We don't play ranked P5 schools often, therefore we have little margin for error and few opportunities to make up for a bad weekend. A sweep at home would give ammunition to the detractors and devastate UL's chances for a top 8 seed.

    Here you go:

Since the reconfiguration of Lamson Park – beginning with the 2012 season – Louisiana has ranked Top 20 nationally in attendance each of the past five seasons (2012-16). The Ragin' Cajuns came in at the No. 7 spot in 2016 with a school-record average of 1,736 fans in attendance, which marked a finish in the Top 10 of the NCAA attendance rankings for the third straight season

And we drop from 11 to 18 in the latest NFCA poll.

Weather and crowds were great this weekend. Concession choices and game day management have really stepped up. More beer choices and gumbo and jambalaya.
Watched the games on RaginCajun.com from Houston. The screen shows only a limited part of the stadium behind home plate and along both base lines. But, it makes the stadium look like it is only about half full with a small crowd. A lot of people with those prime seats are not attending. Is attendance based on tickets sold or butts in the seats? Is UL consistent in all sports on how it measures attendance?

To be consistent I think they use tickets sold. No Tulane/LTUR math involved.

We sit in the chair backs behind home plate and we were probably at about 85% filled in our section. Attendance should be higher this weekend.
