From watching my opinion would be dj or a slapper gremillion ashley craighton haley to start. The first few games we are suffering not scoring when we have chances. I know m8ke likes to play for huge innings but i dont see 3 year starters making the jump to. clutch hitters against elite pitching. Gremillion and haley are our best hitters not on power but i trust them to put the ball somewhere usefull.

It's game 5. Mike will have the ladies putting up runs in bunches. What I'm worried about is giving up several hard hit balls in all 4 games to average offenses. Pitching has always been the make or break ingredient for UL softball.

Defense has been shaky so far. Given up unearned runs in every game so far, and it bit em today.

These ladies definitely have some fight in them late though and that's good to see.

Yea but denham is a pitch to contact. That is going to happen when mike wants to see them. Who is our future strikeout pitch i dont know? But crappy clutch batting.. we have left more on base than i can remember in recent years. Id like to see a change in bat order but mike runs this show and i trust him to read the pagin board and think about it.

Three important players not hitting near their career numbers. Sanders, Creighton, and transfer Chavez all batting below two hundred compared to mid to low three hundreds. That's going to change

Because this program is perinnially a postseason participant, I don't think this is inappropriate to say.. But "pitch to contact" doesn't work in June. Need a power pitcher, always will.
