Aleah Craighton Lands on Player of the Year Watch List

Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns Softball's Aleah Craighton, an All-American performer in 2016, is among the 50 student-athletes named to the "Watch List" for the 2017 USA Softball Collegiate Player of the Year award.

Announced Wednesday by USA Softball, the National Governing Body of Softball in the United States, the USA Softball Collegiate Player of the Year award enters its 16th season and recognizes outstanding athletic achievement by Division I female collegiate softball players across the country.

The preseason accolades continue to roll in for Louisiana Ragin’ Cajun softball outfielder Aleah Craighton.

Craighton,who last week was named the Sun Belt Conference’s Preseason Player of the Year,_was announced on Wednesday as one of_50 players_named to the “Watch List” for the 2017 USA Softball Collegiate Player of the Year award.
