Bowls are forcing schools to accept bowl bids?

What happens to universities who do not have the clout to consider certain bowls beneath them...and they decline an invite? The schools are just as culpable in this mess. Most are using public money to bankroll and exhibition game.

Look at the current trajectory they are on...imagine that with an Indy Bowl win over ULM in that lost year.

Getting back on topic, I'm somewhat amazed that the bigwigs here in Lafayette haven't put forth an effort to bring a bowl game to Cajun Field. It could be a huge moneymaker for the city and the entire region during what typically is a quiet time (in terms of festivals and events) in Acadiana.

that's an excellent point... I was also thinking that if san diego struggled part of reason could be higher expenses to go there, (although more people would want to go and have more to offer) may be a double edged sword.... strange too they would announce this after chargers leaving, seems they would want to use the stadium for as many games as possible...
