I do not care for the thread title "burnt roux"as the Cajuns did not lose anything. Verbals are not worth anything. This stuff happens every year to almost every school. No big deal, good luck to the players. Players are not really committed until signing.

Burnt Roux was not the original title of the thread, but someone's less than clever attempt to keep it all Ragin' Cajun. Let me also say, I do not know the reason Gibson committed to McNeese, in the past it's been academic or other concerns. I simply just posted the news to let Cajun fans know, I'm not going to spin it one way or another.

How many have we flipped? Yes it's burnt roux. Remember that the roux is awful before it's mixed with the ingredients and simmered for three to five seasons. But if you burn the roux you can never remove that bitterness.

Ruston beats the crap out of usl in every way....on and off the field....just check out the scoreboard from the last 2 games played against them...their grads make more $$$ out of college than any school in the state and they aren't full of dancing thugs who can't play the game they are recruited to play...these thugs contribute to the high crime rate in lafayette...and last...just how can you have 21 seniors on senior day but only 5 on graduation day...this is a problem throughout the athletic department...

One of the most stupid criteria to look at comparing universities and colleges is salaries of graduates after x number of years post graduation. Unless it is normalized by college/school, it would poorly discriminate between a univ with large liberal arts, arts and education colleges as compared to engineering, nursing, science emphasis.
I like the R1 status as a test.
