As the Cajuns normally have eight plus runs you cannot look at game time. Instead pay attention to the wasted time. These rules do a lot to address that.
Baseball needs to enforce the thirty second pitch rule when bases are empty. Batters need to be held to one time to step out of the box.
Exactly. No matter the actual length of the game the fact is there is a huge amount of unproductive time where coaches and players are playing a mental game rather the actual game.
If a game goes 2.5 hours I'm ok with that as long we don't have two conferences every inning and the flow of the game isn't interrupted as much.
The ump should not have to write in his little book, talk to both coaches and signal to the score keeper simply to enter a pinch runner. There has got to be a better way.
good point, that does take time. but not sure how to do it faster, as an ump, ive tried to remember and write it down later on a very few occasions, but I don't recommend trying that. that could be a recipe for disaster... because you aren't simply writing it down, you are checking to see if they have been used in the game already and are eligible to be in that spot.
the answer to that piece could be no re-entry, like baseball??
