It wasn't race baiting. If folks saw the video in nov and think that behavior was a one day deal then their head is in the sand. It may be different music and not videoed but that behavior is a daily occurrence in that place. Therefore it is not a pleasant environment for all. It is hard to use words to describe it and not sound racial. However I don't want to make it about race and more about the actions of some and what appears to be a lack of discipline and lose of control.
Cox will flourish at LTU. He'll red shirt add thirty pounds and be an all American quarterback picked as the number one overall. He'll regale stories about his hometown school offering a preferred walk on. He'll later win multiple Super Bowls and retire a hall of fame quarterback.
If none of that is true we'll be vindicated. If any is true we'll be talking about what morons we have running things here. We'd better have a home run QB come here is all I'm saying.
I think you've misread my comment. I'm pretty sure we'll regret not going full bore for this kid. He'll win big time somewhere else.
You can never ignore accuracy. I've not seen him play, but what I've heard reminds me of Jake. Biggest complaint is his weight. They said something similar when Jake won 8 games his freshman year.
I could imagine how some may feel uncomfortable in that environment. Just to play devils advocate imagine if it were mostly white guys in the room and every day they danced to things like Hank Jr's If the south would of won we'd have it made or if heaven ain't alot like dixie. I would think that too would create an unpleasant environment for some. I hope that they come up with a plan that's inviting to all in order to get the best talent from all walks of life.
Now that AJ won't be using a scholarship, offer COX a full ride, Red Shirt him, then see what kind of weight he puts on in a year, and knowledge of game, with his arm and athleticism who knows how good he can be!!!!!
I thought the his first sport is basketball?
