  1. UL Football Young Hudspeth hangs up QB cleats

    UL coach's son has torn ACL three times.

    After practicing all of the 2016 season and playing his first and only game as a Ragin’ Cajun despite a torn anterior cruciate ligament, UL quarterback Gunner Hudspeth – the oldest son of Cajuns coach Mark Hudspeth – is trading his pads for a clipboard.

    Good decision Gunner. Multiple knee surgeries tend to put health in focus.

    No doubt. My own have gone through multiple ACL's. Horrible injury for an athlete. Best of luck to him.

    He will forever be glad that he played but when he is 60 years old he will also be glad he stopped when he did.

    what is the limit on number of student coaches, might start a trend, something saban or harbaugh didn't think of first? unbelievable

    Awesomeness! Really a nice move when anyone has the opportunity to make a move into the field they aspire and has the nads to make the move! Congrats, Gunner!
