    Lane Kiffin has never proven himself to be a successful head coach. Kelly has.

    He is highly thought of but has never coached outside of D2. Has interviewed for a few low level G5 head coaching jobs. Wouldn't be a bad hire but doesn't matter when the head coach is the problem.

    Ps I'm not endorsing a high profile hire, I'm just not a fan of the "we're not ready mentality." All ideas should be on the table.
