The Students of the Year program was presented by Nasen Fontenot Jr. at the Evangeline Parish School Board meeting, Wednesday, February 2.


Students recognized as Students of the Year for the parish were Gracie Christ, Basile High School, fifth grade; Mikelyn Manuel, Mamou High School, eighth grade; and Jenifer Fontenot, Basile High School, 12th grade.


Other finalists in the fifth grade division were Ronnie McBride, Mamou; Courtlin Lazard, Ville Platte; Brittany Bellard, Vidrine; Seth Gautreaux, Bayou Chicot; and Elizbeth Soileau, Chataignier.
