Let's see if the offensive philosophy changes under the new OC...if not Hud will not be here much longer.

I did not interpret Ray's use as the backup QB. He came in basically to run a wildcat type play. When Jennings went out in the conventional offense, Davis is the one who would come in. Ray will likely be used in a similar manner next year.

Oh, I forgot, qb sack. We run that one a lot.
Don't forget that false start play we used several times each quarter.

Blaine Gautier couldn't learn the playbook either, showed flashes but nothing special...until he was actually given a chance to play. Judging JD's ability moving forward based off his limited playing time so far is a little premature. Our head coach has ____'d with that kids head and confidence more than anything, the fact he has stuck around through it impresses me.

Where is he going to go? He was not highly recruited and his options would probably be only FCS. He was not stellar in Spring (Tx), which is not very far from where I live. I'm not saying the young man can't turn the corner and he seems to have some of the tools needed to succeed at QB, but until it's actually seen on the field, then the reality is, it's not there. I'm hoping he explodes into greatness, but hope won't win games.

How many snaps has he taken in 3 years? 50? Of those thirty pretty sure i remember him putting us in the endzone a few times. I'm not saying he is the answer but we haven't seen enough to know either way. I'm glad hud didn't give up on Blaine based off what he put on film under Bustle. To judge Davis simply off his playing time so far is crazy...good or bad.

He was listed as a 3 star recruit by ESPN.

Offered by us, Louisiana Tech, and New Mexico State. He also visited North Texas and Utah State. Attended camps at Houston, Baylor, and Texas Tech.

His other options would only be FCS because of his amount of eligibility left and lack of experience. It would not be because he was a scrub recruit, because he wasn't. Also, if he had ANY kind of player development while he was here, we wouldn't be having this discussion right now.

Jordan Davis will be the Louisiana starting QB this year AND next year, regardless of who is the head coach.

If this kid turns out, and I hope more so for the kids sake than anything that he does, it will be more about his mental toughness than anything. He's had adversity for two years, and to be able to push thru all the crap he's had in front of him will be a testament to this kids make up. I believed this two years ago, that with some development this kid could be special. Boy just think if he could of learned and developed last season how much better we would be this year.
