He better blow up the combine.
This article written in June. Wonder what the scouts say now after the season?
The Prophet will go into the combine healthy for the first time this year since the TooLame game. In addition he won't have a bunch of stiffs blocking for him. We all saw what he can do with good blocking and innovative coaching his first two seasons. He is not a bruiser and should never have been used that way. Hud hurt this fine young man a lot.
I've always said since Eli's freshman year that he will play on Sunday's and most likely get drafted. Even in our inept offense of the last 2 years, he still put up good numbers. What's scary to think about is how many more games we would have lost over the last 4 years without him. He is no doubt going to go down as an all tim Cajun great right up there with Mitchell and delhomme.
You're right!!
Last year the SBC had all of 1 player at the combine. I hope it's a given that he's invited but we've seen our guys get snubbed
Will not get drafted....tooooo slow and not physical enough as evidenced by his constant problems when asked to do that kind of running this year in the SUN WORST....will make a practice squad as free agent as 3rd down back...can't block to protect QB either....
I agree poor o-line play and bone headed play calling have hampered McGuire's production. However, I also think that he has regressed under Hud and staff since his freshman year just like so many other talented players do.
