It would be a good thing symbolically to beat stAte at their place. We are currently 16/19 at their place. Get off that sixteen in 2016 to have 17 in 2017,

This game is huge for the Cajuns. stAte is having a good season and has an RPI of 52 as of this morning, though they have lost their last two games [at Alabama and at Minnesota]. A win today will push our RPI upward fairly significantly, and would give us a great start to the conference season.

Has anyone ordered a game via A State's website? If so, what's the quality of their streamed games?

I watched baseball on their streaming service last year and it was pretty good.

It's usually very good. All of our other league games except for you guys and ULM are on ESPN3, and will be using the same feed.

Keep in mind it is Christmas Break for students, so I'm nopt sure what the production staff will look like

Interesting comparisons between LA, stAte, UTA and Minnesota. Arlington lost by 17 to them on the game after we lost by 12. Now stAte played and lost by 7 to the Golphers in the game preceding playing us.

The only thing I'm taking from these mutual opponents is that the games should be a dog fight. Nobody has distanced themselves from comparable opponents.

The book on beating us is pretty simple, but it's not simple to pull off. You have to contain Devin Carter, which means keeping Dante Thomas from penetrating and kicking out to open shooters. You have to take advantage of our 4 guard lineup and get the only 2 forwards we have on roster in foul trouble using Washington.

One of the X Factors here is playing at home. We played a SWAC style OOC schedule this year. Only 3 Home games, and have not been at home since Thanksgiving. There's no way of knowing what the crowd will look like, and no way of knowing how we'll react to finally being back at home.

Our guard play is much improved, especially defensively, so we may be able to do that. The key to beating us is to slow the game down and force us into a half court game. Our half court offense is less than spectacular.
