University of Tulsa's co-defensive coordinator and linebackers coach Ron West has accepted an assistant coaching position at the University of Illinois. Outside receiver coach Clarence James also announced his resignation from the Tulsa football .

I think it'll be much tougher to recruit from La. to Illinois. Plus the players he was beating us on were marginal BCS talent. He will have to recruit higher profile players to the Illini.

You misunderstood my statement. West was getting a lot of the recruits that had narrowed their choices to UL and Tulsa. Look at their roster for all the South La. players including Johnson.
