I would predict Miller to redshirt if there is only one. JMO. I have no inside info from anyone.

Just pure opinion here as well but I would think Miller would be least likely seeing that he is a year further removed from high school than the other 2 and has already spent a year developing his game at prep school.

Looking at the roster if everyone returns, throw in the 3 transfers, Russell, and Adebutu who is red shirting this year we would actually be 15 deep not counting Broussard and Aucoin. Odds are simply that at least one of those 15 won't be around next year, and of course there could be an injury too but someone is either going to have to choose to sit or be buried deep on the bench.

At least one and maybe as much as three of the guys playing now will redshirt next year. My guess is it will be two.

I see that, the numbers don't lie; we have 1 senior and 4 new players coming in next year.

I don't think you have to let go of the non-scholarship guys since I don't believe there is a roster limit (just a 13 scholarship limit). Pepperdine had like 6 more players than we did on the roster. Those guys would still likely just get late minutes. Stalcup, I'm not sure about. Could be right on that.

I think the thing is you let the chips fall and see who earns the minutes. As mentioned, it's hard to RS a guy contributing nicely this season, but at the same time the transfers will play heavy minutes and Russell will need to play as well.

True about non-scholly...dunno why I thought Aucoin might've had one. Broussard I understand. Still think Stalcup is not cut out for D1 basketball and he doesn't play like a 6'11". It's hard to work the numbers down to 13..

We have a Kentucky/Louisville problem now which is quite amazing thinking about how Marlin could barely through 6 or 7 quality guys on a roster any given year. Let the chips fall where they may but seeing a contributor redshirt may provoke a good player to transfer...double edged sword.

Aucoin and Broussard are both walk ons and so is Adebutu, but I would consider him a preferred walk on. I think he would be in the long term plans and that is why he is red shirting instead of playing garbage minutes. Still that would be 10 scholarship guys returning and 4 coming in so maybe they are thinking either someone will ask to leave or they will have to not renew one scholarship.

I think your right, someone will see the writing on the wall. I hate to speculate but we're not scheduled to lose a big man, and we're gaining one in Gant. Stalcup and Plaisance are already playing some pretty limited minutes so......
