People keep talking about growing our budget but ticket prices and RCAF can only take us so far. Its time to be more proactive and visionary and reaching outside the box
We already have hat through local distributors and sponsors but that's not the amount revenue you think and it's already allocated..it's spent before we get it. National bud light advertises and sponsors with the NFL..not Cajun baseball. Next time you are in the stadium look around. We have practicalkt sold every empty square foot of flat surface to sponsors. The park is one big billboard.

You can't keep coming back to the same people for more money. It is a bandaid for a larger issue. I don't have an answer because I am not involved in any decision making processes for athletics, but at least communicate with the fan base what other options are being considered for future revenue growth
Where else can you pay $300-500 (depending on seat location) and have 20+ nights at 3 hours each of a great time? Sounds like a great deal to me.

I can't think of one single thing that would be cheaper than this for a fun night out..

People who were multiple sports ticket holders, may end up, only being able to support ONE Cajun sport. What is next, Womens softball and basketball, and soccer.
    This is really disturbing.

I don't see ANYTHING about a parking fee. You can still park for free without RCAF membership... RCAF contributors will have closer parking. I see nothing wrong with that.

2018 Baseball season tix will require RCAF membership - didn't specify level. My guess is that could be the lowest $100 level - but that wouldn't include the closer parking pass perk.

    Progress!

If $250 annual RCAF fee becomes required and that's hard to swallow and baseball is near and dear to your heart, cut out 2 fast food meals a month. Drink 1 less beer at about 20 games. Eat before the game so you don't have to have $4 peanuts at 30 games.

--I think the total for my 4 N O Bowl tics was $279---wow---So if you would add a room for $150----$50 gas----food and drinks $300----Depending on over one night---knocking on $1K----WOW!!!!

I understand that everyone's situation is different and I am sympathetic to those who could be effected by the requirements and slight increase in cost required to retain season tickets and attend games. However, I am also aware that some of the people now complaining are the same people that have complained for years that the University was not doing enough to advance athletics!
Unfortunately, we cannot have our cake and eat it too!!! For years, we have said we need more fans to step up and support the department financially if we want to get to the next level. Well, the time has now come to put some additional money where our mouths have been! If UL athletics is high enough on my priority list, I will do what is necessary to maintain my tickets. Otherwise, I will have to find other options that my income and budget will permit me to enjoy.
Best wishes to anyone who has to make a tough choice!

You can always take an ice chest and throw some food and drinks in it. Make your own sandwiches and drink water or soft drinks. That could save most of the $300 you have budgeted for food & drink! 😂

I would love season tickets, but I am content to watch an excellent program compete on television if I cannot afford them. For someone in my tax bracket, that's the best I can hope for. This is freaking America, right? If this was Sweden, everyone would have free tickets, free hot dogs, free parking... and we would be watching second rate baseball. I'm so sick of whiners, sore losers, recounts, et cetera. Let's play ball.

I agree and baseball is high on my list so I will find a way to come up with the $250. But to all who are criticizing those of us who will struggle to come up with the money, are you willing to up your RCAF donation by $250? Sure you might already belong but can you easily put down $250 more. That's what you are asking me to do.

Not criticizing you, this athletic program isn't just about you. I've been giving to RCAF out of the kindness of my heart so you can e joy better things. If they sent me a bill telling me I have to up my RCAF, yes if find a way to pay it or bow out, that's my choices. Expecting this program to not advance because of my personal financial situation is unfair to everyone else. What if everyone looked at it like you? What if the guy who has a family of 4 can only afford 2? Should we cut ticket prices in half so that guy can afford 4? Where does it stop? We are running in place right now, we have to move forward. I'm sure they wished more people voluntarily joined RCAF but they haven't so now they are gonna force people's hand and they should.

Has anyone seen a new seating chart?
