One addition not mentioned by anyone is the new reserved parking area(s) ... that is a very nice added perc to rcaf membership.

Not having a season ticket does not mean you cannot watch a game. That is the case even if the stadium sells out. You simply buy tickets on a game by game basis. Many crowds last year announced at over 4000 had about 2500 people there. That is simply because tickets are resold when the ticket owner does not attend.

Yes, that's what I did last year and it worked great: due to my previous work schedule requiring traveling each week, I could never commit to season tickets. So now I do it on a game-by-game basis, and have gotten some really great seats. Now I no longer travel, but I don't know/think that I will ever get the chance to buy season tickets....in the grandstand.

This price increase and mandatory RCAF membership is for the betterment of current and future Louisiana athletics. If you do not agree, you are only looking out for what is in your best interest, not Louisiana athletics.

If the cost of winning a baseball national championship is me getting priced out of my seats, I will sit on my couch, watch us win it on TV and love every minute of it.

It seems some people would prefer to keep their cheap season tickets, wait in line to use a port-o-let under the bleachers while the Cajuns barely win the Sunbelt and lose in the first round of the regional.

I'm starting to see people on social media complain about the season ticket price increase stating the university should not have "rushed to build the stadium". First, I actually think the increase was pretty balanced when considering the massive stadium upgrade. People enjoyed dirt cheap prices while Robe sacrificed for years. These are people that would rather hold the program back for their individual personal reasons. Robe deserves this stadium and has put the fans first for decades and patiently waited his turn. He could have taken a better offer 16 years ago and been treated much more fairly.

It sucks that long time fans are being left behind, but instead of throwing daggers at the program for advancing and evolving, they should just chalk it up to an unfortunate situation. It's bittersweet but no one that claims to be a fan should want to hold Robe and the baseball program back.

You're right, I am being selfish when trying to figure out a way to be able to afford to attend. I think most of us would be. A RCAF membership is one option for increased revenue. It doesn't have to be the ONLY one. Any time that you are dealing with organizational development it is best to explore many options and choose the best. If that is RCAF membership than so be it but I would like to know if there are other options and if they were considered.

What other option do you suggest the Athletic department take which would male you happy and generate more revenue than making RCAF mandatory?

-March opening will be general admission. 4 different price points. Excellence fund will be different based on section
-Re-seating will/could be during season.
-Similar process as basketball
-Re-seating based on Priority points
-Premium parking for $250 fund and season ticket holders
-Eventually you will need to be a RCAF donor to get season tickets starting 2018

Look, I get some people are in a crunch for cash, retirees, lost jobs, homes from floods or major illness in family, etc; I'm in the latter category with my youngest. Coach Robichaux made a commitment to try and protect long time ticket holders and those on fixed incomes. That being said, I will do what I can, understanding that RCAF is part of the larger picture for the entire athletic program. If you and others can't see the need for RCAF, then it's time you see further than the end of your nose. Growing the athletic program only further enhances our baseball program in quality of opponents, opportunities to host regionals and super regionals in the future and future enhancements at Russo Field @ Tigue Moore Park.
