Since I do not work for the Athletic Department or the University, I can't answer your question. I'm sure there are guidelines or regulations that govern this sort of thing that we have no idea about. I am just asking an open question about other possible options.

None at this moment that the fans won't have to pay for. we are trying to keep with people who can athletically tax their students...we get ZERO. They need more money? Raise their tax or get more students or both. We need more money it's coming from you and I's pocket for now. The fastest and easiest way to do that is RCAF requirement for season tickets. People wanna move conferences? You think having the same 2200 people as your donor base for a decade is gonna impress the AAC? You want me To get to a conference where Houston, USF and those schools are? On our budget? Implementing RCAF raises our budget 2 million overnight, go buy our production equipment so we can sell our content.

If it's like basketball, you get to keep comparable seats, regardless of RCAF points... However, if you want to move, then you get in line based on RCAF points.

For basketball, ticket holders had an option to keep comparable assigned seats. You could also choose to reserve comparable seats and browse for what might be better. If you chose the browse option, it was in line and assigned time-slot based on RCAF points... with higher points getting assigned earlier time slots to browse and choose seats...

Got confirmation from Jim Harris...As a season ticket holder you get priority to move seats BEFORE non season ticket holders, regardless of ranking.

The season ticket holders are placed in order according to their ranking. Non season ticket holders have to wait until season ticket holders pick, then those are placed in order according to ranking.

Sounds good. Because there are many factors which may influence seat selection in baseball (e.g. view of the diamond/down the lines vs. behind home plate) compared to the oval basketball arena which is pretty straight forward.

I agree with you about regular season games, but come time for regionals and super regionals people without season tickets will be watching from home.

One addition not mentioned by anyone is the new reserved parking area(s) ... that is a very nice added perc to rcaf membership.

Yes, that's what I did last year and it worked great: due to my previous work schedule requiring traveling each week, I could never commit to season tickets. So now I do it on a game-by-game basis, and have gotten some really great seats. Now I no longer travel, but I don't know/think that I will ever get the chance to buy season tickets....in the grandstand.

I'm starting to see people on social media complain about the season ticket price increase stating the university should not have "rushed to build the stadium". First, I actually think the increase was pretty balanced when considering the massive stadium upgrade. People enjoyed dirt cheap prices while Robe sacrificed for years. These are people that would rather hold the program back for their individual personal reasons. Robe deserves this stadium and has put the fans first for decades and patiently waited his turn. He could have taken a better offer 16 years ago and been treated much more fairly.

It sucks that long time fans are being left behind, but instead of throwing daggers at the program for advancing and evolving, they should just chalk it up to an unfortunate situation. It's bittersweet but no one that claims to be a fan should want to hold Robe and the baseball program back.

You're right, I am being selfish when trying to figure out a way to be able to afford to attend. I think most of us would be. A RCAF membership is one option for increased revenue. It doesn't have to be the ONLY one. Any time that you are dealing with organizational development it is best to explore many options and choose the best. If that is RCAF membership than so be it but I would like to know if there are other options and if they were considered.

What other option do you suggest the Athletic department take which would male you happy and generate more revenue than making RCAF mandatory?
