I don't think that's the case. You would have the option to retain your seats by joining the RCAF. You have first choice of refusal. They can't buy it away from you.

It's a disgrace that we only have 2279 RCAF members.

You should not be allowed any type of season ticket without being a member of the RCAF, sorry this is just how it has to be. With money, success follows....we continue building facilities, lure better coaches/keep good coaches, get more recruits, win more games, get to a better conference.
    This.....

So you would be happy to reduce your number of tickets by 1 and let the rest of your group go without you to the games? This issue is much more complicated than just joining RCAF since baseball has had such a loyal following for so long. I know that there are many who are in a much better financial shape than I and can afford an increase without thinking. I unfortunately cannot. If joining RCAF becomes a requirement, then I would drop my football tickets to afford baseball. But the reality is that athletics would still get the same amount of money from me but accomplished nothing else. You tend to want to make this a simple issue and it is not. Criticize me all you want but I have been a follower of the Cajuns for 40 years and it is worrisome to think that as I get old enough to retire and really enjoy more events that rising costs will prevent that

I don't want to sound disrespectful toward you but the baseball season ticket package is a great deal. If it becomes too high for your budget maybe you could go in on a season ticket with a friend sharing the cost and taking turns with the ticket.

This is going to be a beautiful stadium and when they need us to pay more to pay for the stadium I think we need to step up to the plate, not away.

Where can I get more info on the Stadium Club for softball? I became a season ticket holder for the first time this year but can't find any info on this

Happy about it? No but I don't think the world revolves around me. I've been going to baseball games a long time and walked in with an ice chest and could hear the catcher fart from outfield, they haven't had some huge following for a long time. This university still doesn't, and if you want to hire guys like Robe and lotief, if you want to pay guys like Deggs that will stay it takes money. Here is an idea how about the rest of your group start buying their own ticket? Again, not the universities problem, people have all sorts of issues and problems, you have a choice..spend the money or don't. No I don't feel sorry for you, I don't have 4 tickets because I can't afford it. How about I go ask if they can cut the price in half so I can get 4, or better yet if I pull my RCAF I can get 4...but like you said...where will that get us?

Never asked you to feel sorry for me. I just explained my situation which would be revenue neutral for athletics. Wouldn't it be better to look at more than one scenario and one that might generate revenue rather than be neutral?

No it wouldn't be neutral, they would be getting $250 from you, you drop a seat, whoever buys that seats pays $250 and buys the seat...plus $500...assuming everyone gives bare minimum the rest of their life you are talking a couple million in added revenue each year. We have to grow the members in RCAF and since people obviously won't do it voluntarily we are gonna have to give them some "imcentuve". Our largest growth in RCAF has been parking at football games.

    Info here. http://www.ragincajuns.com/sports/20...ts.aspx?id=483

You'll have to let the UL ticket office know if you want membership. I had it for the first 2 years in Lamson. It will come in handy this year with so many doubleheaders(13).

After thinking about this in the past I think the reason RCAF donations carry more weight than season tickets may be that when you take out administrative costs (which both season tickets & RCAF both have) there is a cost to provide teh service with season tickets but not with RCAF. I'm sure they have some method of determining their cost per ticket and profit margin with all of the season tickets, and I'm sure that number if figured into their determinations. Just thinking out loud.
