People who were multiple sports ticket holders, may end up, only being able to support ONE Cajun sport. What is next, Womens softball and basketball, and soccer.
    This is really disturbing.

    Geaux Cajuns
Look, I get some people are in a crunch for cash, retirees, lost jobs, homes from floods or major illness in family, etc; I'm in the latter category with my youngest. Coach Robichaux made a commitment to try and protect long time ticket holders and those on fixed incomes. That being said, I will do what I can, understanding that RCAF is part of the larger picture for the entire athletic program. If you and others can't see the need for RCAF, then it's time you see further than the end of your nose. Growing the athletic program only further enhances our baseball program in quality of opponents, opportunities to host regionals and super regionals in the future and future enhancements at Russo Field @ Tigue Moore Park.

The very last thing you want to do is stop people from buying season tickets, ESPECIALLY with a sport like college baseball where only 50% of the season tickets get used in any one night. If someone wants to buy tickets to every game even though they'll only make half the games that's free money for the baseball program.

I'd be really hesitant to make people join the RCAF to buy baseball tickets.

That's what cheapasses say...people will join RCAF and buy their tickets... and go to the games. If they don't somebody will, time for the smalltime thinkers to stop holding this place hostage...get on the train or gtfo of the way. Every single think that people said they were never gonna pay for, they do. Cost and requirements have done nothing but gone up in the last 6 years and guess what? So has attendance and the budget. If you want to cut your nose to spite your face go right ahead but I'm calling their bluff.

They won't stop buying them IMO. Minimum RCAF donation is $100/year I believe, which is not unreasonable.

There is no RCAF requirement for 2017 but we have been warned for the 2018 season. However your required contribution to RCAF will be based on which seats you purchase. I seriously doubt you are gonna be able to stay in grandstand seats for a 100 dollar RCAF donation in 2018.

There are many other stakeholders in a program other than just season ticket holders. Interested to know what other options may have been considered. Raising ticket prices is only a short term fix. We cannot fund everything that the program needs to move forward without a lot more involvement from man more sources

They effectively did. Call it excellence fee or whatever, you are still paying about $50 more per seat this year

And that's the problem, many other stake holders sitting around me getting what I get for nothing. How about all 2200 RCAF members just say f it and drop out? I mean what do you really get from it? So why should the same 2200 people keep paying extra for everything? I'm not rich, I probably give more than I should. What if tomorrow we all went away and our budget was reduced by 7-8 million immediately? We need more people paying into RCAF...not the people already paying RCAF to keep paying more.

Your ratianale doesn't solve the problem and it is not what I suggested at all. Ok so we join RCAF to keep our tickets. Great for the short term. But what happens next? You can't keep coming back to the same people for more money. It is a bandaid for a larger issue. I don't have an answer because I am not involved in any decision making processes for athletics, but at least communicate with the fan base what other options are being considered for future revenue growth

What other stakeholders are there besides the season ticket holders? That's your backbone of the entire program!

I think every season ticket holder for every UL sport should be required to be a RCAF member. How much depends on your seat location.

WBB can just be minimum of $100
MBB minimum of $100, better seats $250, Courtside $500
Baseball bleachers $100, grandstand $250, section right behind home $500, suites $1000
Football can be done many ways.
