We have to grow the members in RCAF and since people obviously won't do it voluntarily we are gonna have to give them some "imcentuve". Our largest growth in RCAF has been parking at football games.
That's incorrect. I said I would drop football not baseball tickets and in this climate, I don't think those are getting picked up quickly. Think it would still be incorrect for baseball. Given the current demand a dropped ticket would most likely get picked up by a current season ticket holder so no extra $250 RCAF donation.

Unless they are adding them in a section requiring a larger Excellence Fund donation you are correct.

Yeah if it's another guy who isn't RCAF they would...I don't care how you slice it...if we lost a 1k season ticket holders across all sports because of it (which I doubt) RCAF has 9k members over night if you want to give up the best years of Cajun baseball after 40 years so be it but I'm calling your bluff. Just like nobody is gonna pay to park, nobody is gonna pay to tailgate etc...waiting list. People that want a $5 ticket have held this place back long enough. We don't have student fees, the money has to come from the fans. We have almost doubled our budget and still 3rd to last in the SBC, everyone keeps hammering ULM about dropping down...if they do, guess who is close to back to having the smallest budget in the country? It's 20$ a month, if I had to juggle $20 a month I wouldn't have one ticket to anything.

There is no bluff to be called since I never said I was giving up baseball. Perhaps reading the post more carefully and seeing what I said would be better than just putting me down because I don't have the financial resources that you seem to have

Tax deductible only if you itemize. Some of us don't get any benefit there.

I have less tickets than you have because I donate to RCAF. I could be very selfish and reduce my RCAF to minimum so I can get more tickets, but who would that be helping besides me? Instead of being defensive maybe try to look at it from another view besides your own. Don't play the victim man, it's not about your financial resources. It's about what people are willing to pay and growing the program. Cajum athletics is the best deal in the country...even with RCAF requirement it still would be.

You're right, I am being selfish when trying to figure out a way to be able to afford to attend. I think most of us would be. A RCAF membership is one option for increased revenue. It doesn't have to be the ONLY one. Any time that you are dealing with organizational development it is best to explore many options and choose the best. If that is RCAF membership than so be it but I would like to know if there are other options and if they were considered.

Like? What can you count on with no student fees?

This is such a stupid argument. If you are a season ticket holder you should be required to be a member of RCAF.

It is simple if you can't afford to be a RCAF member find someone who is to buy a ticket from.

The big news today is all home games with be a home.

Since I do not work for the Athletic Department or the University, I can't answer your question. I'm sure there are guidelines or regulations that govern this sort of thing that we have no idea about. I am just asking an open question about other possible options.

If it's like basketball, you get to keep comparable seats, regardless of RCAF points... However, if you want to move, then you get in line based on RCAF points.

For basketball, ticket holders had an option to keep comparable assigned seats. You could also choose to reserve comparable seats and browse for what might be better. If you chose the browse option, it was in line and assigned time-slot based on RCAF points... with higher points getting assigned earlier time slots to browse and choose seats...
