Just looked at 10 random schools to see how they do it. Here are the results.

Schools that have baseball seats you can buy without donations: LSUAMBR, Houston, Tulane, Southern Miss, LTUR, Arkansas, Rice, Alabama, South Alabama, Auburn.

Schools that will require donations to purchase season tickets: Louisiana.

Yes, the 10 random schools do not require donations for all season tickets. The only one that does is us.

jric, I'm not talking down brother. I'm trying to help you out. LUS internet went up without my knowledge. Went from $46 to $62 overnight. Did I like it? No. Do I now pay it? Yes.

It all comes down to how much you want to be a part of it. Not saying this applies to you, but a lot of people confuse being a "supporter" of a team and being a supporter of their own entertainment. Baseball at the Tigue has been the best value in sports for a decade. I'd rather watch from outside the stadium if it meant winning a national championship because I love this team, what it stands for, and the community that it represents.

Don't think they posted it on the pricing information they showed earlier.

And what are the athletic budgets for those schools? Do they allow student fees to supplement?

    Student fees are completly irrelevant.

All of those schools have triple the budget that we do. Except for LaTurd, who hasn't been relevant in 25 years.

A more comparable comparison would be schools with our budget, that just built a new stadium, and consistently are ranked, in regionals, win conference titles and compete on a national stage year in, year out.

If you have an extra 10m in the budget, you can afford to make less in other areas. JMO

I've heard the $300 figure (for the season) thrown around. Complimentary softdrinks, water, and popcorn also considered.

I know the one for softball includes a buffet type of meal. Don't know how they'll do baseball.

I relate this to my hobby of choice: golf.

I love playing golf. In fact, I love being invited to play Oakbourne & LeTriumphe. But I can't justify a membership and the membership fee enough. So I go to Vieux and Wetlands.

Let's tee it up man. $20 a hole? Maybe one of us can pay for our excellence fund. Ha
