N0. 0 for Tech is named Boykins. He hit 7 consecutive threes in the last 9 minutes of the game. Most were from beyond NBA distance with guys playing good defense on him. He is the reason the game became close. He is the main reason the Bulldogs got back in the game. Give the guy credit for carrying his team. No. 2 was also a stud for the Bulldogs inside and out. Many may not have noticed but a key to the game was the Cajuns being able to keep a double digit advantage while Bryce Washington was on the bench the last five minutes of the first half due to 2 fouls. Overall, the cajuns had more guys contributing. There are too many to mention but I will say PJ Hardy hit three big threes for us in the second half and also got a big rebound. I like to mention him since a review of posts when we signed him indicates many of you did not think he was a good recruit simply because many of his other offers were from SLC schools and he was only a "2" star. My view was that coaches go after guys for different reasons, sometimes it is how well they project a guy will fit into their system. Obviously Hardy is fitting in well here and his performance so far is another indication that the star system is meaningless for mid majors.
They need to focus less on our floor and more on that horrible coaching job Retarded Steve Kerr just put on. If your whole offense is hoping Boykins shoot well your gonna have a long season.
As usual your analysis is spot on. Boykins going off is what kept LTUR in the game and PJ's 3's down the stretch were invaluable. I'll put it this way, the Cajun nation came out to fight last night, we threw bows first and often while LTUR sat their and took it. I'll happily admit that this team is easily exceeding my expectations.
Yes number 0 with the bright orange shoes was lighting it up from three point land. We should have worked the clock a little better down the stretch. Our defense was relentless, we stole the ball a whole lot. We were quicker than they were. We looked long enough but when they put in that seven foot guy it made us look kind of undersized. A good win, lets keep it going.
Nice team win. I love having 5 players in double figures. Everyone contributes. Love the defense!! Also encouraging is they didnt crack when they went from up big to a single digit lead then back to the big lead and still hung on at the end and finished strong. Geaux Cajuns!
