I didn't renew my basketball season tickets because of my lack of interest in what Marlin was doing here but I kind of wish I did to be honest.
    I agree with you two.

Regarding "Fear the Beard" year, I liken Justin Miller to JJ only Justin is a better version. I think our crowds will continue to grow as they did during that streak also (at least after the holidays).

I looked for some extra tickets in my section the other day and they are scarce, nothing within 4 rows of me. This was not a good year to give up tickets but I know there are outside circumstances.

Whoo, I'd have to pump the brakes on that Miller assertion. Look, I know he's likely going to be a fine player for us moving forward but I wouldn't put his contributions on par with what JJ was able to do. JJ could hit the 3, was very effective on the inside even with his lack of size and was equally good or better as a rebounder. NOW, I think that Miller can and will surpass what JJ was in the next couple years but has work to do with conditioning and just overall skills before I say that about him. He has been literally non-existent in games this year and I haven't seen anything from him from the perimeter which I'd like to see him develop.

Should we do an attendance thread for it? Where is Dre?
I, CajunDreDog, OFFICIALLY declare this the "LA Tech at Louisiana Attendance Thread Predictions" thread for RP members.

I don't remember JJ being a good 3 point shooter (not doubting you, just really don't remember); I remember him banging in shots around the rim and getting fouled and making his free throws.

For one year. He was not able to do that after he was hurt.

My comparison is based on Miller getting his shots in close (and making a lot of them) but also getting fouled and being a good free throw shooter. He is also getting a good amount of rebounds.

    We'll just watch him develop.

Miller will be better than JJ Thomas, way better.

    I 100% agree to this....

He'll be a force once he gets better conditioned and has his "feet under him." Right now he's kind of going through the motions and the game is a tad bit fast. He's looked phenomenal in a few and lost in others.

    He'll be a good one.
