He will get bigger in college so size doesn't seem to be an issue. Guys like Derrick Dean and Ringo were considered undersized as well and both had nice careers here. If he translates close to those two guys, we got a good one.

Just FYI Charlie. John Randle played at 6'1" and 287 lbs. Now he's in Canton.

At that size, I'm not worried. Ringo and Dean were around that size. Dean played and started as a freshman and I don't think he was quite that big and he was certainly shorter.

Dude you don't have to convince me. I saw Zi'yon for 4 years. He was almost always the best player on the field. He dominated people. Only reason we got him is cause he's not huge. I'm fired up he committed to UL.

What is the optimum size for a DT? 6'3"? 6'2"? What? I am sure they have to be horizontally shapes...

6'1" is plenty big enough for us. What matters is if he can move that big body. I'd imagine he'll get up to around 285-290. That's big enough. Derrick dean is the last DL that was really undersized and he was around 5-9/5-10.

They played him at wingback some on offense and threw him passes this year. He can move.

He'll probably be a great fit for us.

Seems a certain Kaplan defense may have a different opinion...

Its funny how 16hrs. ago he tweeted great in home visit with a Tulane coach with his picture and then 4hrs. later he tweeted after talking with my family I'm committed to Louisiana.

The best DT in the NFL is only 6-0, 285. It's as much about power and leverage and these shorter guys can get it against tall OL
