Thread: 2016 NO Bowl Ticket Sales?

I watched on TV and thought the crowd looked decent... And it was one of the top 5 crowds in bowl history - all of which LA has been a part of...

I think it beat the Nevada crowd (but with a larger contribution from the opponent and a lesser contribution from the Cajun Nation).

Cajun fans certainly didn't embarrass themselves like some predicted. I was pleasantly surprised by the crowd. And it was a very lively bunch, to say the least.

After seeing the city not being crowded on Friday evening I was a little worried but getting to the dome I was pleasantly surprised by the Cajun faithful. I too think it was 1.5-1 Cajun fans over USM. Way to come through Cajuns.

I was pleasantly surprised by the Cajun turnout, but I think it was probably 50/50. UL had a completely empty corner section where as USM had 2 full corner sections.UL did seem to have more people in the lodge sections.
We definitely had more people out and about in the city. Most of the USM fans must have come in just for the game.

Yep. I thought the numbers were pretty equal for those exact reasons, and I definitely didn't think we had more people than them due to the empty corner 2 sections over from me. But like MAT said, it wasn't an embarrassing number. We just had a lot of people get their tickets elsewhere.

We looked and scanned the Dome also stating crowd size looked about as 50/50 as you can get!

Did you notice the second deck on both sides were Cajun fans? Looks like So Miss all bought their tickets through the school while many Cajun fans purchased through other sources. My neighbor wanted good seats and had no idea what UL would give him, so he purchased through another source and got 50 yard line on the So Miss side. Right or wrong, lot of stuff like this was going on.

---I think probably based upon what was said here about the sparse areas but some Cajuns fans spread out in various sections----go with 50/50----but I think the Cajun fans were louder and our band better---as far as the game I thought offensively S Miss was very very good----QB the best we faced as a passer with accuracy, zip on the ball, and touch---the RB had the best center of gravity and power I have seen in a while---McG with more spins---long, lean, speedy, and hands receivers---and the OL gave him the time just about all night----their defense was sufficient enough to get the win!!!

The ball hit the player on his wrist on its way up from the first bounce.
