I don't think we sell 10,000 tickets through the university. I also think we have less than 20,000 in attendance.

It's a few things.
-The team has been inconsistent all year with a 6-6 record
-Some people are still upset about the locker room video and Hud's reaction
-Christmas obligations
-The newness of the New Orleans Bowl has gone a little stale
-People are struggling with the lackluster local economy
Of course, I will still be there.
I don't think people get tired of going to New Orleans if they have the money.
In previous seasons, we were making travel plans with several weeks left in the season. At the same time this season, we were ready to get money together for a buyout.
The local economy has been in the crapper for a long time.
The flood didn't help.
The novelty has worn off. One year absence from that bowl is not enough.
Honestly, we shouldn't go back to NOLA again before we play Miss St. Then, we'll bring a huge crowd, and we need a huge crowd for that game way more than we need to be in NOLA for this Bowl.
Playing in a bowl game will have zero effect on our attendance of a game against the SEC 3 years away..we might not even have the same coach. Considering the economy, Nola is the best place for us to go.
After losing to NMSU, a bowl wasn't on my radar (and probably many other individuals). Made other plans about that time, never thinking of the bowl picture.
