Right now Hardy is shooting 0.429 from three. I don't want Brown shooting 3's very often as I see him more as defense/rebounder type of player. He may work into a more offensive threat in the future but we don't need that from him right now. I'd add in Evans for the Cajuns, who has missed some time with his back, but I see as someone who would be more of a scorer. He was shooting .400 before having to sit out.

*The above in no way suggests that we shouldn't have offered the kids we did, nor does it mean they are better than any of our true freshman this year. Just pointing out that in one of the years we had enough scholarships available, it would have been good for the program to have both of them.
Did they have any better D1 offers for both of them to play than the Cajuns and McNeese? It does tell you something if that's the case.

McNeese had a tough time defending our 3 guards. Wright, Barkley and Steve literally drove them crazy. Nice adjustment by Marlin. Thus the reduced impact by our bigs Washington and Miller.

Bryce had 10 points, 15 rebounds, and 4 assists.

Maybe we will not be a great rebound team, still we were not terrible in those two games, and the rest we absolutely responded well.
Yes, I know this. I didn't mention anything about Minnesota though. The two games I referenced were Montana State and Delaware State, neither are teams you would consider "large". However, I state this only as a concern and nothing more. We are a better rebounding team than I thought we'd be and I'm happy to see that. Hopefully we can continue to do so moving forward because this is the one area I'm really concerned about.

Rebounding is %95 effort and position. You don't have to be big, the smaller you are the better you need to be at position.

For those of us a little older, how much does Bryce Washington remind you of former UL star Marcus Stokes. Not on the offensive end, where I believe Bryce is better, but on the rebounding and defensive side. Neither are the tallest guys in the world, but both are/were rebounding machines.

You are correct. However, if the guys you are playing against give the same effort and know how to get position, that height and/or athleticism is a nice advantage to have..No?

Nice comparison. I always thought Bryce reminded me of Dennis Rodman with out the stupid attitude. He is smart around the goal and will position his body for the rebound. I think Justin Miller has very similar skills and will only get better.

BTW, did anybody notice Scott Farmer in attendance at the game? I thought that was interested and glad to see him there cheering the guys on.

Nothing against Bryce, but I always thought of Marcus Stokes as a much more physical presence. Marcus Stokes was a man.
