I have heard from a reliable source that they are going to name Steve Hale the new AD. Has anyone on here ever heard of this guy?

I don't know if I'm overstating the obvious, but Hale is the guy many people wanted to get Jim Harris' job.

A Sr. Associate AD from a P5 school with a tremendous resume interviewed and was told he isn't going to get the job. If whoever is hired is more qualified and has better credentials than he did, we will have a GREAT AD. This guys resume basically read almost identically to what TJoe said we were looking for. And he isn't gonna be the guy

That said, I've been told that one of the finalists is a purple and gold guy that is being pushed hard for the job.

I don't disagree with you at all. Like I said before, if his resume is better than the guy I mentioned, he will be a home run hire.

But having been lurking on RP for the last 4-5 years, I know there will be a _____$how here as soon as his LSU ties are brought up.

I preferred the guy you mentioned, he was my first choice out of the three finalist that I know of today. But the other two are still have quality resumes. Certainly better than anything we have had since Terry Don Phillips.
