Hopefully the new AD will work with Harris instead of over Harris. We need these two lead horses to be in harmony. Reminds me of Ben Hur and the Chariot races where he had to balance the white Arabian stallions strengths and weaknesses to maximize their chances to win.

In short we need a competent confident AD not afraid to shown up by excelling subordinates, and yes, Harris by the way things are set up is not a truly co equal.

Regardless of who the hire is, it's a step in the right direction compared to where we were headed, the prior lack of real commitment, and the AD that was steering the ship.

Hope you are right... Hope it is MUCH better, because the bar you set above, admittedly, is quiet low.

IMO YOU have very little credibility here.

Anyone will be better than what we had, but I'd really like the guy out of the Big 12. But as long as it's not an LSU know your place type hire I'm ok with it.

I don't know if I'm overstating the obvious, but Hale is the guy many people wanted to get Jim Harris' job.

A Sr. Associate AD from a P5 school with a tremendous resume interviewed and was told he isn't going to get the job. If whoever is hired is more qualified and has better credentials than he did, we will have a GREAT AD. This guys resume basically read almost identically to what TJoe said we were looking for. And he isn't gonna be the guy

That said, I've been told that one of the finalists is a purple and gold guy that is being pushed hard for the job.
