No doubt Robe is a high thinker, and IMO will be a valuable asset in picking the candidates for the new AD. The volleyball coach, not so much.

Hollis Conway a great athlete and ambassador for UL, but what else qualifies him? I am just asking because I don't know what he's done outside of being great at what he did, it is not a criticism of him.

I'm hoping that a former successful AD, Alden, can steer this committee with some excellent candidates.

In regards to the volleyball coach I'm not sure why you have an issue there but there is a definite need to have the women's sports represented.

Since retiring from athletics Hollis has worked as a motivational speaker. I definitely like him being in the mix. Great guy who will bring a strong perspective from a former student athlete and an awesome moral compass.

Plenty of time to speculate. If I remember correctly, it was stated at the presser the search would not happen until after the first of the year.

Also interesting that 4 of the 7 on the committee are women.

In addition to being a former Alumni Association President, Karren Hays has been President of the Rebounders Club for many years. That includes the tenure of several coaches. She was also a member of the Athletic Advisory Board back when Nelson Schexnayder put together such a group. She also is a woman with qualifications to serve on the committee.
