One bad (good) thing about MelRock as AD is that half the athletic budget would be dedicated to finding the latest and best whiskey/bourbon.

We can never have too much good whiskey/bourbon. As we tasted last Saturday, Red Handed Bourbon out of Austin, TX is my new go to bourbon.

I have to hand it to you MelRock that was a great bourbon. I was glad to be caught "Red Handed". I will never doubt your research again. :-)

It's time for my holiday liquor buying spree. Is it available locally?

BTW, I owe you an empty bottle from that fine mixture you had last year. The only problem is we keep filling that nice bottle up with simple syrup for our Old Fashions.

Keep the bottle I have plenty. I am hopefully making another batch this weekend, it will be ready after the first of the year.

Red Handed can be found at Joey's. That is the only place I have seen it and the only reason he has it because I asked him to get it for me. By the way he loves it as well. Treaty Oak Distillery, they make a fine dark rum as well. After it is distilled they barrel it just like bourbon. You would almost never know that is is rum.

Beau, MelRock told me you could get Red Handed at Joey's for about $35 a bottle. It was really good stuff.

I normally do not drink, but I will make it an exception to visit your place. I am traveling for work the next two weeks during the week, so maybe after the first of the year.

No doubt Robe is a high thinker, and IMO will be a valuable asset in picking the candidates for the new AD. The volleyball coach, not so much.

Hollis Conway a great athlete and ambassador for UL, but what else qualifies him? I am just asking because I don't know what he's done outside of being great at what he did, it is not a criticism of him.

I'm hoping that a former successful AD, Alden, can steer this committee with some excellent candidates.
