I like the hire! If this guy has the connections that Alden has, especially with big companies nationally, then this could be a huge advantage that we just gained.

So a man who has probably never set foot in this city before the interview is an inside hire? So the guy we hired to consult should have had anyone he knows taken off the list immediately? No way this guy can be competent and a good AD right...he knows mike Alden. How long will Mike Alden be in the consulting business if he goes around putting his incompetent proteges in positions of power? The man is in this for business too.

Did you read my post? The guy IS fully qualified and let me be clear...I am happy to see us get a person with his credentials. I just find it slightly amusing we end up with one of Alden's guys.
I cannot wait to see how he reorganizes the athletic department.
