Yes I did read your post, then responded to it. If you hire a man basically twice for his opinion about your athletic department it shouldn't come as a surprise you end up with someone he worked with in his athletic department...what better way to implement Alden's vision for the program than someone who shares his vision and thought process. If we would have ended up with Nunez...it would have been "why did we pay mike Alden to end up with an lsu guy"..."we could have done that for free." They went from 100 to 7 to 3 to 2, the committee did that and tjoe pulled the trigger...Alden didn't make this hire.

Welcome Bryan Maggard. Regardless of what's to come, your hiring marks a new day, a new hope for Ragin Cajun Athletics.
Exactly. Little change, over 100 applied. Some sitting AD's were interested but pulled out when they found out we were not using a national search team. They did not want to risk their identities being found out. I was floored when this was explained to me. Very prominent people.
Ohhh
Over the last year, it seems as if most everyone trusted Mike Alden and considered the Alden Report to be the blueprint to fix our problems in the Athletic Dept.
If Bryan Maggard worked along side of Alden, wouldn't that mean he was learning from Alden? I think Maggard would turn to Alden if advice was needed, which also seems to be beneficial.
Much like Jim Harris (who I think is great), I'm going to wish Maggard the best and support his hiring.
GEAUX CAJUNS
I wonder if the AD announcement on signing day us to deflect attention from the quality of recruits this year. Just sayin.
Dude has Kramer's hairdo. I like him already.
