About The Cajuns New Basketball Court

Well, it wasn’t what I expected but life generally doesn’t give me what I expected. I am speaking of the new Ragin’ Cajuns Basketball court inside the newly renovated_Cajundome._
Gone is the traditional looking basketball court that seemed to work just fine. In its place is a unique basketball court. Sure it’s got the same dimensions as the old court but the appearance is different, like one of a kind different.

He was talking about a name for the court design, so I assume Cypress Court. I wonder if the court could actually have been made out of Cypress. Maybe we could hire the guys from Swamp Loggers.

Cypress is way too soft for a basketball court. I think most people will say we are copying Oregon's court but 2nd to the party is still pretty early

I believe a cypress floor would be too soft. Also, the basket ball wouldn't have the same bounce as a hardwood floor.

It's funny a friend of mine who grew up in Oregon was showing me their court and saying how he hates it but he liked how ours looked

I think there's a few more schools since Oregon who has done similar. FIU if I'm not mistaken has a beach as their court.

cal-berkely was playing a home game on tv last night. they have the outline of a bear's head at mid-court. get used to seeing more schools going in this direction.
