I don't think that will happen. I have never heard of someone getting back a year just because they've been benched.

Is there any precedent on a case such as this? I guess they can argue a redshirt for the year with no stats? What is the official rule for burning a red shirt? Is it one play RS is gone?

thanks, so for injury you can apply immediately, but for "misc" reasons only after season?
seems like the claim would have more viability if made immediately when the alleged hardship occurred. do you have a reference section from the rule book? thanks.

Probably some sort of time frame for applying. They've been talking about this since early September. May have to wait until a certain date before applying I'm guessing.
