Thread: Jennings wants one more year at UL

Yeah I just want to publicly admit that I was really critical of AJ throughout most of the year. He looked like he just didn't want to ever run the ball and it aggravated me. I guess he may have been more injured than what was reported. He has definitely improved as of late. So I think I owe him an apology for that.

I doubt he gets approval for an extra year. But if he does, I'm on board with it

I remember a guy who couldn't throw a ball in practice to save his life early on who wound up being a pretty effective quarterback. He may even be coaching now.

He has been coached by Cam Cameron who was known as one of the best QB coaches in America until he met Jennings and Harris. Not saying I don't want him back. I just hope we can find some more consistent than what he has shown.

They also played WR, RB and returned kicks in college.

    Just in case.

But UL starting quarterback Anthony Jennings still plans to file an appeal for an extra season of eligibility so he can play for the Ragin’ Cajuns again in 2017, the graduate transfer said after practice Tuesday.

Time to move on. Good luck.

AJ set us back a year or two at the QB position this year.

Time to Develop a freshman or sophmore QB.

We lost with an sec transfer QB. If We gonna loose, loose developing someone who will be here a few years.

Regardless if Jennings comes back or not we need to go find somebody else...probably 2...I just don't see a single downside of having Jennings on our roster. It's a win all the way around and on top of that he seems like a great guy to have on your team. Not many kids would handle his situation at lsu the way he did...not many at all.

Our coaches did that, not Jennings. Jennings might very well get us to a winning record and a bowl win and give us a chance to go get a quality juco/transfer until we find that stud high school kid.

I agree. You take someone like Jennings every time. Ideally you want a redshirt junior QB taking the reigns and start for 2 years then repeat.
