Thread: At 5-7, ULM Could Go Bowling

  1. UL Football At 5-7, ULM Could Go Bowling

It may have seemed hard to imagine early in the season, but ULM could be on the cusp of a bowl game.

Those around the league have been impressed with the job Matt Viator and his coaching staff have done this season with a depleted team which loss its starting quarterback midway through the seasons.

Better hope not. That would mean we lost to them and our APR in football is below theirs. A meltdown would not adequately describe what would happen on this board if that were the case.

The APR's are already set. They are higher than us in the pecking order.

ironically they say don't schedule two FCS because only one will count for bowl eligibility.... but with this scenario occurring more often, a 6-6 with two FCS beats a 5-7 good apr, and if you win 7 or above the two FCS games is a non-issue. wouldn't be bad to start scheduling that way (obviously not factoring in other consideration but strictly speaking bowls)

How'd that happen? We lead the conference in GPA so often.

But ironically if you leave to go pro you are exempt from the calculation. (Protection for the big boys?) How does ncaa place such a value judgement on who should or shouldnt continue academic career, ridiculous
